Live Music will include performances by Bubbles Brown, Prelude to a Million, and Rich Jones. Bubbles Brown is a Chicago duo that evokes the homespun, kitchen-sink aesthetic of rural, pre-war blues and country, while blending with modern electricity to create a sound that is both nostalgic and distinctly progressive. Prelude to a Million is a unique collective of hip hop artists from all over the state of Illinois that combining their strong, distinct, individual styles merge into an incredibly vibrant and inclusive performance, not-to-be missed. Rich Jones is a prolific soul/hip-hop artist that has refined his craft and expanded his range to become a dynamic and versatile artist, creating great songs across multiple genres.
Echoes is entirely volunteer-run and along with arts and music, celebrates Chicago’s cultural roots of influential achievements in social justice work. Echoes produces themed events that connect to areas of social justice work, inviting local nonprofits to host informational tables and receive 100% of the event’s profits. Happy Birthday Chicago is Echoes’ annual fundraiser. Their events are suggested donation only, and theynever turn anyone away, as they believe the arts should be available to all Chicagoans regardless of economic standing.
